Fees

No two sessions will ever be identical. Because your care is personalized and not controlled by your insurance company, your sessions will be anything you need them to be:

  • skill-building, coping strategies, or psychoeducation
  • an objective perspective
  • collaborative problem solving
  • a cheerleading session that includes validation and/or emotional support
  • active listening in a no judgement zone

My Fee

30-minute check-in*: $100.00
31 to 60-minute session: $175.00
61 to 90-minute intensive session**: $275.00

* Check-in: A check-in is brief and supportive in nature. Examples might include a brief review of skills to manage anxiety before a flight across the country or a pep talk before a big presentation at work.
** Intensive: An intensive session allows extra time to go into depth on a particular subject. Examples might include managing fresh grief or disclosure of childhood trauma.

Payment

My standard of practice is full payment at the time of service. PayPal or Zelle Pay are my preferred methods of payment.

I do not accept insurance for payment of therapy. For me, this policy is consistent with maintaining your confidentiality, even with your insurance company. To learn more about the reasons for my policy, please click here: Why I Don’t Take Insurance.

Superbill

A superbill, or a monthly summary of services, will not be offered. Many times a superbill can be submitted to your behavioral health insurance company as an out-of-network (OON) expense. However, even for OON benefits, insurance companies will require a mental health diagnosis for payment. I am not willing to conjure up a diagnosis that will become part of your permanent record.

Informed Consent

During our first session, in accordance with the No Surprises Act, we will discuss informed consent, or the good faith estimate. We will discuss and negotiate the length of our sessions, the nature of our work and other important matters that allow you to make an informed decision about engaging in therapy.
