Finding Levi
Finding Levi follows the journey of Levi, an Anatolian Shepherd dog born into a grimy puppy mill. After being discarded, abandoned at a kill shelter, and rejected at a faraway rescue, Levi’s life is always in jeopardy — until Charlotte, a clinical social worker, finds him. The moment she sees him, she whispers, “I have been looking for you since before you were born,” and he instinctively leans into her, knowing he has found his forever home.
Under Charlotte’s care, Levi thrives, but the story explores whether his own experiences with abandonment, sadness, and loss can help him comfort Charlotte’s therapy clients. The answer is a resounding yes — making it both a touching pet story and a reflection on resilience and healing.
Finding Levi is the first in The Charlotte Novella Series, which features Charlotte, a clinical social worker, as a central character in each story. The series blends fictional narratives with the author’s 45+ years of experience in clinical social work, offering authentic portrayals of human and animal relationships.
If you enjoy inspiring pet stories, emotional animal–human connections, and uplifting narratives, Finding Levi offers a short, accessible read that can be finished in an evening.
